Landmark Summer Flex — Dual Credit Courses for Homeschoolers

Landmark Summer Flex is for high school students who are ready for college-level work and want to take one Arizona State University course at a time. Landmark Academics coordinates the ASU application, account setup, and registration; students complete the course online.

What Students Learn and Earn

Students build college-level knowledge in subjects such as English, math, science, history, business, and technology. After successfully completing an ASU course and choosing the transcript option required by ASU, the student can add the course's listed 1–4 official ASU college credits to an ASU transcript. The receiving college decides whether and how those credits apply to a degree.

Format, Timeline, and Requirements

Students choose an On-Demand course or an available scheduled session. On-Demand courses are self-paced within the course access period; scheduled courses follow the dates shown in the catalog. There is no AP exam and no separate ASU application for the family to navigate, but students must complete college-level coursework and meet the course's grading requirements.

How This Differs from AP, CLEP, and Google Certificates

ASU dual credit is earned through completed university coursework and recorded by ASU. AP and CLEP rely on exam scores and each college's score policy. Google Career Certificates are professional credentials with potential ACE credit recommendations; they do not automatically create ASU or other college credit.

Evidence and Credit Transfer

Each approved ASU catalog card identifies the ASU course code, title, format, and college-credit value. ASU is the institution awarding the credit. Because transfer and degree applicability are decisions made by the receiving institution, families should verify the target college's current transfer policy before enrolling.
