Google Career Certificates for High School Students
Eligible MilestoneMap families can request $0 scholarship access to one of nine complete Google Professional Certificates. The benefit is included with Annual All Access and Own It for students age 13 or older.
What Students Learn and Earn
Students develop job-relevant skills in digital marketing, UX design, project management, cybersecurity, IT support, Python automation, data analytics, advanced data analytics, or business intelligence. Completing the full certificate can produce three distinct benefits: recommended high-school credit, a Google professional credential issued through Credly, and a potential ACE college-credit recommendation.
Format, Timeline, and Requirements
Each option is one complete online certificate with a published sequence of required courses and modules. Completion time depends on the student's pace. Advanced Data Analytics and Business Intelligence require the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate first. Individual modules do not independently earn the certificate or potential college credit.
High-School and Potential College Credit
All nine current certificates have 7–16 potential ACE-recommended credits and therefore carry 2.0 recommended high-school credits under MilestoneMap's policy. ACE recommendations are not earned or guaranteed college credit; each college decides acceptance and degree applicability.
How This Differs from ASU Dual Credit, AP, and CLEP
A Google Professional Certificate is a career credential, not an ASU course or direct college credit. ASU dual credit comes from successfully completed university coursework. AP and CLEP depend on exam scores and the receiving college's policy.
